6. A big company (maybe a potential buyer) is interested.
Ever tell a friend, a relative or some guy in an elevator about your incredible, world-changing idea and have them smile and say something encouraging? Ever have them follow those encouraging words by writing a $1 million check on the spot to invest in your incredible, world-changing idea. Yup. The trouble always comes between step one and step two.
7. The big company (despite their earlier interest) is not returning your phone calls.
Hmmmm. Think you could have misread something somewhere?
8. A conservative estimate puts your potential market at $50 million.
My eight-year-old would have the same market for his lemonade stand, if only 50 million people would drive past our house on a really hot day and pay $1 each.
