12 tips for bootstrapping your business website (Part 1)

When bootstrap entrepreneur Denise Aday started putting together the website for her virtual assistant business Aday VA Solutions, she quickly discovered there was more to the process than she at first expected.
In an on line interview with Bootstrap Design, Denise talks about what she learned and how other bootstrappers can avoid similar pitfalls when designing that first business site.
Denise used Microsoft FrontPage 2003 for the basic layout of her new business website creating it mostly in design view then going back and using her knowledge of HTML to fine tune her vision.
"Thinking back, at first I did try to work with a purchased template. This proved very difficult and included graphic elements that I didn't have the software or expertise to edit," she said.
