8. Watch your navigation
Navigation is the term used for the path used by visitors to find their way from one page to another---and more importantly to the information they are seeking---on your site.
If your site navigation is good, visitors will be able to find what they are looking for with ease. If not, they will soon grow frustrated and click elsewhere meaning lost sales and lost opportunities.
When creating her business site, Denise Aday says she took several approaches to make sure visitors could quickly and easily find what they needed.
"I tried to be as objective as possible and think like a prospective client just coming across my site," Denise said.
She also asked for help.
"I also sent it to other people for feedback," she said.
