• Keep hiring costs down
• Find a recruiting niche
• Grow with freelancers
There are even low cost strategies to retain employees without the one thing no bootstrapper can afford, stratospheric salaries. Inc.com suggests:
• Be flexible
• Share the perks
• Offer advancement opportunities
• Piggyback on training
• Build employee commitment
When it comes to raising capital the magazine suggests:
• Tap vendors for credit
• Borrow from customers
• Borrow prudently from family and friends
• (And, if you can believe it) Ask employees
