Prestileo's heroes, aside from the writers and illustrators of her favorite
mainstream comics, are other web based artists who have similarly used the Internet to get their work before the masses.
They include Fred Gallagher, whose web based comic megatokyo.com is now also in print form along with other materials sold on the artist's comic site, and Brian Clevinger, whose 8-Bit Theatre borrows characters from the Final Fantasy I video game.
Clevinger's own site NuklearPower.com now features other merchandise ranging from T-shirts to copies of his self-published comic book
