Blog silence to be observed

A bit off the topic of bootstrapping...or is it?
German serial entrepreneur Steli Efti plans to start a revolution with nothing in the way of resources...nothing but a black screen and an idea that is.
Working at a newspaper, I've been inundated by and heard frequent discussions revolving around the printing/broadcasting/you name it of story after story on the Virginia Tech shootings.
To be sure, such news must be reported and it is up to individual news outlets to report it in the way they see fit.
However, in an innovative move, Steli has proposed a different approach to the endless media spew...silence.
On April 30, Steli is proposing that the blogosphere observe a day of silence in respect for the victims and their families with only a single post showing some version of the above graphic. (For more information on how you can participate, check out this link.)
Participation is by choice. No one is interfering with your free speech. This blog rarely has much news coverage on it anyway, so I've not posted one single thing about the massacre until now, but I plan to participate anyway.
I'm fascinated to see how this movement is being bootstrapped together using only the resource of on line community! In fact, I was so excited over it last week I caught myself blathering about it to someone at work.
Thanks to Halil Mandal at Peopleized, who apparently had a hand in getting this whole thing started, for sending me an e-mail on it. Help if you can.
