Styles says the rate paid to the women for their work is four times the usual payment for artisans in their community and has already allowed her sister-in-law to move into a new home in a better neighborhood to accommodate her growing family.
Women can also bring their children to work with them, but Styles said even improvements have come at a price. She said a plan to provide a larger car, a driver and armed security is next on the agenda.
"It's not a safe place to be waving money around," she said.
Styles believes the way the product is helping those who created it has added to its appeal.
"I think women like the idea of helping other women," she said.
