Still, the steady growth experienced by PrintingforLess.com has paid off in the long run. The company moved into a new multi-million facility in June overlooking nearby Paradise Valley.

But success has not dulled Field's competitive nature or his desire to stay one step ahead of the pack.

His company's website proudly displays an award from Inc Magazine for "Best of the Web" celebrating a "Killer App".

An excerpt from the magazine says the award recognizes,"particularly innovative and muscular Web-based applications, the kind that remind us how much the technology makes possible."

"Of course, I'm paranoid about competition," Fields says.

In January, his company also started providing direct mailing for printing projects, a service they decided to introduce after it was recommended by customers.

"Oh, yeah, there's a lot of commercial printers out there," Field says. He aims to make sure PrintingforLess.com remains one of the best.
