Bootstrapper's bookshelf
Filed in archive Bootstrapping Thoughts by Shawn Hessinger on December 21, 2007

In anticipation of another book on bootstrapping by Jeff Cornwall of The Entrepreneurial Mind, here is a great list of great existing resources on the topic both from my own research and mikem's excellent Squidoo lens:
• The Bootstrapper's Bible. Marketing guru Seth Godin's take on the tried and true business startup technique also available (as bootstrappers will no doubt appreciate in a free downloadable version on line.
• Bootstrapping your Business: Start and Grow a Successful Company With Almost No Money, by bootstrapping entrepreneur Greg Gianforte and Marcus Gibson including talk with such fellow bootstrappers as Andrew Field of PrintForLess.com.
• The Art of the Start: The Time-Tested, Battle-Hardened Guide for Anyone Starting Anything, by Guy Kawasaki with an important section on bootstrapping.
• Bootstrap: Lessons Learned Building a Successful Company from Scratch, by author and entrepreneur Kenneth L. Hess.
• A Billion Bootstraps: Microcredit, Barefoot Banking and The Business Solution for Ending Poverty, Philip Smith and Eric Thurman's book on social bootstrapping
• Entrepreneurs Rich Christiansen and Ron Porter, founders of Everest Web Solutions, are working on a book on the subject as well.
Have some other titles to suggest? We'd like to add them to the list. Please add them in the comment section below or drop us an e-mail and let us share it with the community.
