Bootstrapper's Labor Day

As my labor day weekend draws to an end, I managed to get in some relaxing...but not much.

For those readers not living in the U.S., here is a brief explanation of the holiday and what it means.

In the past, I've posted (somewhat irreverently, I admit) about the relevance of this hallowed national holiday in these days of a rapidly shifting economy.

As I reflect back now on my journey into entrepreneurship (and a switch of day jobs since the last Labor Day rolled around) two previous posts come to mind both bearing on this day and its significance (or lack there of) to the bootstrapping entrepreneur.

• First, blogger Steve Pavlina reflects on why you shouldn't even probably get a job in the first place.
• Second, why I wished everyone a very Happy Unlabor Day back in Sept. 3, 2007.
