Bootstrapping Thoughts

With both major party presidential conventions behind us, it seems the coming general election holds little promise for bootstrappers here in the U.S. (See the video from JibJab below).
However, as suggested in an earlier post on this blog, there may be at least one third party candidate whose economic policies are friendly to the entrepreneurial urge.
Like fellow blogger Jeff Cornwall over at The Entrepreneurial Mind, I've got no desire to start endorsing candidates here.
Just check out Jeff's analysis once again and remember alternative choices like former congressman Bob Barr when you go into the voting booth on Nov. 4.
Remember too what Samuel Adams once said about something Malcolm Gladwell might now call the Law of the Few.
It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds.
Yes, it seems the Founding Fathers too were bootstrappers.
