Bootstrapping happiness is…

Romanian blogger and entrepreneur Cristian Dorobantescu asks the questions:

• What is the minimum amount it would take to make you feel OK about your entrepreneurship?

• What is the most difficult challenge that you face in reaching it?

After interacting with some entrepreneurs and entrepreneur "wannabees", Cristian concludes:

• having a million dollars in the bank is the minimum amount to feel ok about your entrepreneurship

• the most difficult challenge is to make the first million.

I must admit that my own ambitions, at least in the short term, are a bit less grandiose. My minimum goal and my greatest challenge?

• Leave my current full-time job

• Bring in enough-about $40,000 a year by my rough calculations-to support my family while building my business venture.

Some might say this is not thinking big enough. I disagree. As a bootstrapper, what I need most is time not money. In the beginning, the life of a part-time entrepreneur was fine.

Since launching PostRanger.com last week, however, I've realized that my current job demands too much time to grow my business properly. My plan, to shift to more online consulting work and try to make up the difference in income.

Sure, I'd like to make millions from my business in the longterm. For now, having the time to build my venture is more important.

So what's your challenge? Let's see what Tom Pick at WebMarketCentral Blog has to say.

Tom?
