Bootstrapping may be on the rise
In the last entry of entrepreneurs' stories at the Kauffman Foundation's bootstrap resource page, Boston Globe reporter Robert Weisman writes about entrepreneurs who are shying away from capital investment as a way to launch their ventures.

Bootstrappers tripp Micou of Practical Computer Applications Inc. and Ali Merchant co-founder at CADNexus tell their stories.

The reasons given for the trend are open source software, viral marketing and other high tech tools bringing the cost of startup down.
