Sound technician Joe Shambro started his recording service with used or budget equipment and kept costs low by using equipment belonging to either the bands he was recording or the venues at which they were performing when possible.

Dare to be different

Though she started with a puppet from Montgomery Ward, ventriloquist Alicia Dacoba eventually used a "ventrilopig" and a "talking horse" in her act gaining her plenty of press attention.
