Commercial Refrigeration And the Life of a Small Diner

Commercial Refrigeration And the Life of a Small Diner

If your goal is to get rich, food services probably isn't the place to start. Maybe if you can get hooked up in a franchize like McDonald's – why, a few years down the road you're making a profit and over the course of a decade you end up with a small fortune. But the average no-name, mom and pop restaurant is not going to make you a fortune.

But in rural communities you can do well and lead a comfortable lifestyle if you can establish a quality family restaurant.

Rural communities usually have few dining options. If you build up a place with quality food and a nice atmosphere at reasonable prices the local populace will quickly develop a sense of loyality and you'll have a reliable customer base.

The hardest parts about building such an establishment is infrastructure (stoves and grills, commercial refrigeration, regular supplies) and finding reliable workers who will stay with you.

It can be a rewarding business if you succeed. And if you fail, you usually do it quickly.
