Also, self funded companies are better in using resources. Sure, I'm talking about travel expenses, office supplies and stuff like that, but also about the human factor. I mean if they need a marketing expert, they don't (and can't) just go out and get one, so they train an inside person to develop marketing skills. Besides using these human internal resources better, the employees have the chance to improve their knowledge and expertise in various fields, and that's another reason to be committed and learn stuff.
