I've been trying to answer this question in recent weeks and have drawn plenty of inspiration from Seth Godin:

• Sell what people are buying. Blogging and social networks. In no particular order. They remain, in my opinion, two of the most powerful Genres of the emerging new media.
• Locate the sneezers. Social networking will draw them and blogging whether microblogging, vlogging or podcasting will give them the virus, in the form of unending streams of content, to spread.
• Forget the main stream. With every community we build a new network starting small and growing that by definition cannot be the same community that inhabits MySpace and Facebook.
• Find your Otaku. Like most people, I have a collection of passions, not all necessarily connected. Blogging has become about niches and social networking should be so that people can find others with like interests instead of endless online hookups and spam.

Building my new bootstrapped business was a question of putting all these ideas together. Here is the result!
