Texas-based virtual assistant Denise Aday launched her online venture Aday VA Solutions with just a membership to her local chamber of commerce and a few home computer upgrades.
And Romanian software and web design entrepreneur Cristian Dorobantescu used money from an early client to purchase two lap tops launching him and two partners into the software design business.
But when it comes to bricks and mortar, high overhead and heavy capital investment can make bootstrapping a start-up business a significant challenge.
Two entrepreneurs who have met that challenge are Haika Powell and Jed Rapoport owners of Haika's Kitchen, 526 N. Saint Cloud Street, #5, Allentown, PA and on the web at www.haikas.com.
