How to bootstrap an online music network (Part 5)
CONTINUED FROM PREVIOUS POST

The launch did garner a limited response. For example, Juan of Switzerland-based JCR Recording Service, home of Blue Lake Records releasing a unique roster of European rockabilly artists, got in touch.

But with an e-mail from Michael Anderson, a.k.a. T.W.A.D.E., a mount Vernon, NY, hip hop/R&B artist sharing his MySpace site including music samples, I quickly realized I would be excluding large numbers of talented artists with no album to sell.

I also kept finding other artists on the net whose music I admired, but whose approach to distributing music defied my neat little formula of drop shipping CD's.
