Join the bootstrapper's group

You can become a member of the new group by clicking here and creating a Yahoo! account if you don't yet have one.
For quite some time I've wanted to assemble an on line community with more opportunity for discussion and exchange of information than our current MyBlogLog and MySpace sites really allow.
I'm hoping the new Yahoo! group will at least partially realize that goal, but its success or failure will really depend on fellow entrepreneurs and readers of this blog.
Here's a little statement about who I'd like to see join and what I hope we can accomplish:

Our group will serve as a community for the bootstrapping entrepreneur defined as the business person who launches his/her venture with little or no outside investment and grows it largely through revenue or other personal, borrowed or bartered resources.
This site is for:
1. The bootstrapping entrepreneur using a variety of personal or other available resources to start a new venture without the benefit of external funding
2. The bootstrapper already operating a business and using bootstrapping techniques to grow his/her venture
3. Anyone who is planning or has ever dreamed of starting a small business but believes it will require too much money or hard-to-get external investment to make that dream a reality.
4. Those friendly to the efforts of bootstrap entrepreneurs either with experience and background in business or some related field who can offer help, support or advice to those starting or growing a business with little or no financing or outside investment.
Our purpose is to:
• Create a community of bootstrapping entrepreneurs who pool, share or barter information and resources as we build and grow our bootstrapped ventures together
• Provide inspiration and support to those thinking about starting a new business via bootstrapping or those already in the process of starting or growing a business with little or no external investment or financing
• Dispel the belief that starting a businessrequires large amounts of external funding from Venture Capital or other investors and that small businesses started with little or no financing cannot achieve long term success and growth
• Create discussion not only amongst entrepreneurs but also business coaches, advisors and other professionals able and willing to help the bootstrapping entrepreneur community accomplish its goals for a stronger, better economic future
• Promote a revolution in the world of business in which hard work, imagination and ingenuity replace deep pockets, politics and fundraising as the foundations upon which new ventures are built.
