Kauffman Foundation posts bootstrapping techniques

Calling it a way to "extend the runway" in an effort to get a new venture off the ground, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation has posted a treasure-trove of bootstrapping resources to its site, including (surprising, at least, to me) a post from yours truly.

A summary for the collection describes bootstrapping as enabling:

…entrepreneurs to operate their startup companies with minimal infusions of cash from others, allowing them to postpone raising capital from outsides sources, and to maintain 100 percent ownership of their companies.

The posts include numerous resources for those wishing to start and grow their business without equity investment.

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation:

…was established in the mid-1960s by the late entrepreneur and philanthropist Ewing Marion Kauffman. Based in Kansas City, Missouri, the Kauffman Foundation is the 26th largest foundation in the United States with an asset base of approximately $2 billion.

The vision of the Kauffman Foundation is to foster "a society of economically independent individuals who are engaged citizens, contributing to the improvement of their communities."

We'll review the bootstrap business links one by one in the succeeding posts…
