Making It Big in Business, Like Naveen Jain
Do you ever dream of making it big in business?
When I was young (a long time ago) I used to listen to Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show sing On the Cover of the Rolling Stone. I used to think, "That's what I want, to make the cover of Rolling Stone!" Of course, there wasn't much hope of that. I played trombone in the school band. I don't think a trombone player has ever made the magazine's cover. I picked up some keyboards along the way and even played French horn at a wedding once. Still, long odds…
These days I think more about making the cover of BusinessWeek. Wouldn't you love to make it big in business. I mean, I know music is a business. But it's not the same. I'd like to hear my name as part of a list that included Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Naveen Jain, and maybe Sergey Brin. Is that too much to ask from life?
