Amazingly, most commenters ignored the point of the posts completely which was, of course, small business startup.
This means sitting in your living room or in front of your PC and getting that one great idea whether for software or a new kind of widget that will change the world completely, before patents, before contracts, before sales and definitely before capital.
Having spent more than three years writing business plans with the help of an SBA advisor, I was amazed how many responders focused on the dangers connected with refusing to engage in extravagant spending before the entrepreneur even has a product to sell.
