Frugality is a cornerstone for success in the early stages of any business. When you're bootstrapping it takes on additional importance, and bootstrapper culture has always reflected that.
It's not hard to find resources (like Moneysavingguide.com) to help you implement frugality. But the real resources for frugality come from within. You have to be prepared to think about money (and spending) more or less constantly. You have to be prepared to do the math – and to think outside the box. Buy a company car or rent a company car? But at the end of that decision, you still have to recognize that a two door may service your purposes just as well as a four door.
