More bootstrappers join the party

We've had at least two new members join our revitalized Yahoo! Group this month since we began promoting it again.
I'm hoping also to encourage other bootstrappers to join our Bootstrap Your Business Today group on MySpace and Bootstrapper's Club on MyBlogLog.
In the case of Yahoo! and MyBlogLog you'll need a Yahoo! account. You'll have to sign up for MySpace too if you want to take part in the Bootstrap Your Business Today group.
I'm hoping additional involvement on all three groups will have a couple of good effects:
• Getting bootstrappers together. I've already met fellow bootstrappers through the groups and the blog and hope to meet more so we can share ideas and resources.
• Promoting our projects. With new Rich-Text Editor the Yahoo! group allows hyper links just like a blog so you can link back to your own website and tell fellow members more about what you're up to. I'm bootstrapping PostRanger.com, a new social blog network, and I'm hoping other bootstrappers will use the groups to share their projects as well.
• Sharing resources. If you've got a great post to share with members just link to it using the Rich-Text Editor on the Yahoo! Group. MySpace and MyBlogLog also allow some linking.

Shawn – don’t suppose I can talk you into using the Facebook platform for your boostrappers group? Its much more user friendly than mybloglog but I will join your club there right now.

There may indeed be a Facebook group at some point in the future. I’ve kind of lost hope of a single social network fulfilling all of my or anyone else’s interactive needs.
