As most who regularly read this blog must know by now, yesterday we formally announced the launch of PostRanger.com.

A few more notes now on the new project which I hope will be more than just a bootstrapped business startup.

My hope is that the network will actually provide a bootstrapping service of its own to those interested in creating content in the new media.

Here are some objectives I've outlined (a somewhat different list but related to the one I published on the site recently)

• Provide new and experienced bloggers and webmasters with a free premium hosting and posting platform for creation of on line content including print, audio, video

• Provide new and experienced bloggers and webmasters with the opportunity to organically build traffic and Search Engine Optimization for their sites without charge in return for creation of compelling content for the larger network

• Provide a service where those without a blog or website can have a free opportunity to create content and express themselves in a network providing feedback and an audience for their work

• Provide a free opportunity for those new to the Internet to transition from audience to participant in the new media without the need (at least at first) to maintain a website or make a commitment to regular updates

• Provide those bootstrapping a business on line with the tools to inexpensively promote that service or product in exchange for the sweat equity of creating interesting and compelling content in their area of expertise.
