Picking a Logo: Some Mistakes to Avoid

Noobpreneur recenly had a few good tips on things to avoid when it comes time to develop a logo for your business.
The tips seem obvious. Like most things that seem obvious, they're only obvious if you've already thought about them. Making your logo too complicated can be dangerous. You want to be sure you don't design a logo that only works in some mediums. And most importantly, designing a logo is something best left to a professional logo designer.

What annoys me to no end is people trying to make the letters of their company name into objects. That is very hard to pull off. Just state the company name and add a memorable mark if necessary.
