While his colleagues took the offer, Dorobanescu refused, preferring to continue his side business and existing full-time job

He soon found he had a problem, however.

His two partners had been the software developers while he had been involved in dealing with customers. Though running a software firm with no software developers might have seemed an insurmountable obstacle to some, Dorobanescu again used bootstrapping resourcefulness to keep his company alive.

"So, I had to rethink everything," he said.

He did.

Dorobanescu soon transformed his software development company into a website design firm using free web design tools again supplied by his former employer.

"It's really important to say that I kept a really good relationship with them," he added.
