Ways to Save Money in a New Office

How do you save money when you open a new office? Among the first temptations is to open a home office. I'm not suggesting that that's a bad idea, but keeping mind that a home office increases the chance that you will get audited by the IRS.
The most obvious way to keep the cost of a new office down is to plan well and be frugal. I've heard of savings plans that stretch out to cover everything for low cost car insurance to relying on sales coupons to help pay computer needs. Both those ideas are good (as far as they go), but the real power of cost savings comes when you decide not to buy equipment you don't need yet and not to lease twice the office space you need.
In a bootstrapper's world all money is precious. You're never playing with someone else's money, so you come to really understand frugality. Get what you need, what's important. Don't spend money on things you don't need. If you do, you won't be around long.

Yes penny pinching is the way to go. I own a small start up I’ve bootstrapped and have had success being as frugal as possible. I aimed to save money from each and every aspect of my life until i think i drove my wife crazy. Recently since things have been going well I have been doing things like outsourcing my phones to a telephone answering service and using competing shipping services to save money.
