Moms of young children may do it to spend more time with their families.

Some workers may prefer it as a life-style choice allowing more time for family and personal pursuits and as way to save gas money in these trying economic times.

For bootstrappers, of course, it is a key technique to keep down costs.

Think how much money you would save by cutting out your morning commute and of the overhead that renting an unnecessary office might add to your startup.
