Foursquare for small business
Most small business owners with physical location based business models understand that the explosion in smart phone and other mobile, internet connected devices has made location based search a very big deal for attracting walk in traffic. But there are less obvious routes to attracting net and foot traffic based on physical location. Most businesses are familiar with Yelp and the ratings it applies to businesses. A venue that a lot of places have not yet considered, however, is the location based checking service Foursquare. Foursquare turns location into a sort of game for users, and by combining fun features with discounts they have a real attraction that you can take advantage of.
