More than just a blog, BootStrapMe.com is a revolution.
A revolution aimed at:
--Freeing entrepreneurs from the myth that capital is necessary to launch their ventures
--Replacing planning with action as the key component to starting a business
--Providing helpful tips and links to help bootsrappers of every stripe find the tools and inspiration to launch their ventures
--Building an on line database of resources and contacts for the bootstrapper at every point along his/her entrepreneurial journey
--Sharing inspiration, insight and entertaining content meant to uplift the bootstrap entrepreneur on the daily adventure of building a new company
--Creating a growing community of bootstrap entrepreneurs, mentors and others not only on this blog but at our MyBlogLog and MySpace home pages interested in this valuable pursuit who can help, motivate and share with each other for success in the future.
This site will also strive to:
1. Share important lessons from real life entrepreneurs through interviews, profiles and success stories posted here on the blog and in our comment section.
2. Gather input from startup entrepreneurs, experienced bootstrappers and mentors about the key ingredients needed to bootstrap a new company.
3. Share information about our own bootstrap ventures and progress reports from any readers who are involved in a bootstrapped startup company. Never hesitate to drop us a line
4. Create a lively, entertaining and informative place on the Internet where bootstrap entrepreneurs can turn for help, guidance and that daily recharge of energy and inspiration so desperately needed in the bootstrapping life.

My name is Greg Cruey. I am an educator, journalist, travel writer, technology buff, Asia enthusiast, and avid China watcher. I'm also a blogaholic.
I've lived on four continents and in 14 times zones. In the past 25 years I have worked in education, community development, economic development, journalism, and teaching in a variety of public and private settings in Asia, parts of the Pacific, and in rural Appalachia. My work as a journalist has included everything from being a beat reporter for a daily to working as editor-in-chief of a small college paper. I have been blogging and writing online for over a decade now.
I have degrees in psychology (minor in sociology), linguistics, and adult education (emphasis on technology). I've studies at Augusta State University, the Australian National University and Marshall University. I've done non-degree work in counseling, educational disabilities, and educational leadership.
